San Gimignano

San Gimignano, is a completely unpronounceable, yet quaint little Tuscan town, known for its towers. The main squares are called Piazza della Cisterna (the one with the big well in it) and Piazza del Duomo (The one with the cathedral.) I seem to have had enough of cathedrals though, because I didn't take any pictures of it. The medieval city walls are still very much intact.  The day was sunny and warm, and we had to transfer busses in Poggibonsi, the best name for a town, ever. It was our 6th day of walking and climbing and quite frankly, by the end of the day, we were pretty exhausted. Yet, somehow we found the energy to make it back to Florence and shop. >>Fin<<
